VRMCA recently launched a campaign called “I Build Virginia Strong!” and hopefully you’ve seen some of the posts on Facebook. But in case you missed them, here’s a bit more information about the campaign…

The goal for this campaign?
This campaign is an excellent opportunity for use to celebrate, promote and highlight all those folks in our industry who work day in/day out in the field. Our mixer truck drivers, dispatchers, plant managers, and technical services staff just to name a few. At the same time, we’ll be promoting the industry and the various career options available.

To support this campaign and make sure it gets as much exposure as possible, we’ve added a few things. First up, we now have a page on the VRMCA Web site specifically geared toward the high-level benefits of being a ready mixed concrete truck driver. Visitors will find a link to our “Find a Producer” page so that anyone interested in exploring employment options can quickly find a producer in their area.

We’ve also put some marketing dollars behind the campaign as we want to push the posts to a larger audience on Facebook. The sponsored posts will include a “Learn More” button that drives people to our Web page “You Can Build Virginia Strong!”.

How are we doing?
We’ve seen good participation since the campaign launched. We’ve received 20 submissions to date, posted ten of them leading to more than 7,400 views!

Given we really want to spread the work about various opportunities within the ready mixed concrete industry – specifically ready mixed concrete truck drivers – there is definitely room for improvement! Remember – there’s no limit on the number of folks we feature from any one company. The more the merrier!
